Milian and Bailon Help Celebrate Orgullosa’s “Skirts Only” Fashion Show in NYC

Orgullosa puts on a 'Skirts Only' fashion show in NYC

NEW YORK CITY (March 20, 2013) – On Wednesday, P&G’s Orgullosa initiative hosted its exclusive "skirts only" fashion show at 404 in New York City. Latina celebrities, Christina Milian and Adrienne Bailon, helped celebrate Orgullosa's newly-appointed Board of Faldas (Board of Skirts) and the "everyday Latina woman" who walked the runway wearing one-of-a kind designs by Cenia Paredes.

Milian and Bailon served as ambassadors to empower women to celebrate their cultural duality, while helping them reach their personal goals. Both exemplify a true Orgullosa woman – proud of her heritage and living the American dream.

Orgullosa’s long-standing partner, the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC), also participated by identifying ten bicultural Latinas to walk the runway and represent the “everyday woman” on path to success.

“This event is so inspirational. We grow up with so many dreams as young Latinas and it’s great that we are now able to get together through Orgullosa and their Facebook community and really spread our dreams and explain our stories,” said Christina Milian.

“How we got to where we are, we all have different dreams and aspirations and I think it’s important we share them because it helps nurture, inspire, and show that we care. It shows that as a sisterhood, we're there for each other, to network, and to make our lives better. It’s our time.”
